ARDIS From Ireland

We are in communication with present-day members of the William ARDIS Sept in County Armagh, Northern Ireland. We would like to hear from another ARDIS family group, apparently of long standing, in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. They may be "William-ites" also... or we may need to do some further research to find a "common ancestor".

ALDERDICE From Ireland

Along these same geographic lines we would like to hear from ALDERDICE folk who apparently also have traditionally lived in both Armagh and Antrim Counties of Northern Ireland.

ARDIS From Switzerland or Italy

In a different vein, we in the William ARDIS Sept are fascinated by an article in the Evart, Michigan USA newspaper ca. 1910. The article clearly states that one of our progenitors in the William ARDIS Line, Mark Ardis, then living in Evart, Michigan USA, was spending his summer "visiting relatives in Switzerland and Italy". Anyone with information or views about this is more than welcome to write!

Other ARDIS, "Separate Occurrences", and NOT ARDIS Names

Finally, we hope to prepare a more elaborate discussion quite soon of possible "separate occurrences" of the ARDIS Surname, possible French- Italian- German ARDIS names, names with ARDIS "in them", similar names that are NOT ARDIS Surnames, etc. Your contributions toward this discussion would be greatly appreciated.
